Igreja Nova (New church), Aljezur, Algarve Portugal
After crossing the bridge over the creek and go Aljezur Street School, is the Mother Church, the area known as "New Church", with the front turning for the village.
Built in the eighteenth century, has three naves inside. The altar, imposing, has a fine statue of Our Lady of Alva (eighteenth century), flanked by two images of the previous century. The side chapels have altarpieces of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and a baptismal font Manueline style.
